Dig This Volleyball is a community of volleyball enthusiasts who are committed to supporting players of all levels. We have open plays geared towards beginner, intermediate to advance athletes. Our members come from diverse backgrounds, and range in age and experience from 12 year olds in our Youth Training classes to former National team players.

Open Play for beginners, intermediate and advanced players.

$20

per open plays session

•Payment is due 48 hours before the event to secure your spot.

•All events are co-ed unless specified.

•Minimum age to play is 18 years old.

Location & Format

Come join us at any of our three Queens locations, easily accessible from Manhattan by a 30 minute ride on the train, bus, or LIRR. If you prefer to drive, that's fine too. There’s always plenty of free parking. We have gyms at Bayside and Glen Oaks.

Our open plays are approximately 3 hours long with a limit of 3 teams on each court, and 18 players max. We use rally scoring with a 21-point cap.

Open Play

Payment Policy

Payment Due

All payments are due by Friday at 5 p.m. for the following week's sessions. For example, payment for Jan 5-11, 2025 sessions are due Jan 3rd. Nonpayment releases your spot to the next person on the waitlist.

Please put Date, Time, and Location of the event in the payment notes. Example: 1/5 12pm MS172

Refunds

Refunds and cancellations will be honored if requested at least 48 hours before the event. Please initiate the request digitally. If you're past the 48 hour and don't want to lose your payment, you can find someone to fill your spot. Please make sure they are of the same skill level or higher.

Waitlist

Players coming off the waitlist, (yay!) you have a 3-hour window to confirm your spot with payment. If it's past 10pm, please submit payment the next day by 10am. Meetup automatically sends you an email that you have a spot. Please check your notifications as well on the app.

Players joining when spots are open, please pay upon RSVP.

Note

If your name differs from your profile or someone is paying in your behalf, please give us a heads up in the payment notes. There are multiple events happening at the same time. Helps with cancellations and credits so there’s no confusion.
